Little Lucy Snack Shop, located in Windham County at 112 Main St. in Putnam, will open for its last day in business on Saturday, Jan. 13, the owner announced on social media.

In their announcement, the owner said the snack shop's sales had "been better than anticipated," but that she needed to step away to spend more time with her family.

"My presence at home and availability for family has been greatly reduced since opening the brick-and-mortar shop," the owner wrote, adding, "I am not sure yet where the road will go but I need to pivot and put family in the priority role right now."

The owner added that while the shop had been successful, they were not yet in the position to hire an employee to help them balance their time better.

The shop, located in downtown Putnam, is known for its wide variety of hard-to-find salty, sweet, and savory snacks. It also has an online shop on its website.

In their closing announcement, the owner thanked patrons for their support.

"I am so incredibly thankful for all of your patronage, encouragement, and for all the precious friendships I have made since opening the shop," they wrote, adding, "It has truly been a blessing to have a chance at fulfilling a dream. It’s not over yet, it just needs time to evolve and adapt to current circumstances."

On its last day in business, the store will open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All products will be on sale for 50 percent off.
